Giacomo Martirano, born in Cosenza in 1964, B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering (Polytechnic University of Milan). He worked as a designer of telecommunications satellite systems with Alenia Space (now Thales Alenia Space Italy). In 1997 he founded Epsilon Italia srl, a small high-tech company providing geomatics services, where he was also Chief Technical Officer. In 2010 he founded Naturextra, he is the Chief Executive Officer. He also co-owns a family farm of 70 ha on the outskirts of Cosenza.
Giancarlo Statti, born in Colosimi (CS) in 1965, is a phytochemist with a B.Sc. in Chemistry (University of Calabria), PhD in Chemistry of Natural Substances (University of Messina). He is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology, he teaches in the School of Clinical Pathology in the Faculty of Pharmacy (University of Calabria). He is also a member of the Committee of the Doctoral Program in Translational Medicine at the University of Calabria. He is a co-founder of Naturextra.
Dimitar Uzunov, born in 1968 in Bulgaria, B.Sc. in Biology specialising in Botany (University of Sofia), PhD in Plant Sociology (University of Ancona). He has lectured in different universities and higher education institutions. He is an expert on flora and vegetation, monitoring biodiversity, land-use pattern analysis and thematic mapping, analysis of numerical data and multivariate statistics. He has extensive experience in environmental impact assessment and monitoring, planning and management of protected areas and the EU nature & biodiversity policy “Natura 2000 Network” (an EU wide network of nature protection areas).
